Consortium Location

 

The 2011 Technology Management Policy Graduate Consortium will be held on Penn State's University Park Campus. The campus is set in the idyllic countryside of central Pennsylvania and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

The consortium facilities will be set up at The Nittany Lion Inn on campus. The Nittany Lion Inn is one of the state’s premier leisure, meeting and conference facilities.

 

How to Get to Penn State

DRIVING DIRECTIONS [top]
From New York City - George Washington Bridge to I-80. In PA, exit from I-80 (the Keystone Shortway) at Exit 24 (Bellefonte) and follow Route 26 south to State College.

From Philadelphia - Take the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to I-80. Take Exit 24 (Bellefonte) and follow Route 26 to State College. -OR- Take Philadelphia Schuylkill Expressway to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, leave the Turnpike at Exit 19 (Harrisburg East), and follow I-283 to I-83 and proceed north on I-83 to the I-81 interchange. Then follow I-81 west to Route 322, 22 West Exit. Proceed west on Route 322 through Lewistown to State College.

From Pittsburgh - Follow Route 22 East to Duncansville, I-99/Route 220 North to Route 322 East to State College -OR- Follow Route 22 East beyond Duncansville to Water Street, Route 45 East to Pine Grove Mills and Route 26 North to State College.

From Washington D.C. - Take Route 270 to Frederick, Route 70 to Breezewood, Route 30 to Everett and Route 26 to State College. -OR- Follow Route 270 to Frederick, Route 15 past Gettysburg, through Camp Hill to Amity Hall, and then Route 322 to State College. -OR- Take I-95 or the Baltimore-Washington Parkway to Baltimore, west loop I-695 to I-83 north. Continue on I-83 north to the I-81 interchange. Then follow I-81 west to Route 322, 22 Exit. Proceed west on Route 322 to Lewistown and State College.

From the West - Take I-80 to Exit 20 (Woodland) just east of Clearfield, then Route 322 east to State College. -OR- One may also exit I-80 at Exit 24 (Bellefonte) and follow Route 26 south to State College.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION [top]

From New York City to State College
:

From Newark International Airport:  Take the Newark AirTrain from your terminal to the Newark Liberty International Airport Rail Station and transfer to the NJ Transit (Rail).  Take NJ Transit to New York Penn Station (NOT Newark Penn Station).  This trip usually takes about a 45 minutes and costs about $12.50.

From JFK International Airport:  Take the AirTrain JFK from the airport to Jamaica Station (trip takes about 10 minutes and costs $5).  Transfer to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) for a 20 minute trip to Penn Station (less than $10 if you buy a ticket at the station; you’ll pay more if you buy a ticket on the train).

Take Megabus from New York City (Manhattan) (pickup is on the west side of 9th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, two blocks west of Penn Station) to State College.  The trip takes about 4½ hours.  Cost varies, but is usually around $30 one-way.

Philadelphia:  Megabus from the 30th St. Station (about 4 hours)

Washington DC:  Greyhound from downtown DC (about 5 ¼ hours)

Baltimore:  Greyhound from downtown Baltimore (about 4 hours)
